Wrap Up

October 2019 Wrap Up

October was another great month! I did so many wonderful things that I have to distill it to bullet points:

  • I celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with a lot of delicious food
  • I finally saw Come From Away and finally understood the hype
  • I cried watching the Downton Abbey movie with exclusively older people in the movie theatre
  • I got to see Emily Nussbaum talk about her book I Like to Watch at the Toronto Reference Library and now I’m on a mission to watch her new favourite show, Succession
  • I went apple picking with my friends and went home with a belly full of apples as well as a huge bag to take home
  • I saw Mary H.K. Choi talk about her new book, Permanent Record, with Jonny Sun leading the conversation. I met the two of them after the talk and they signed my books
  • I went to the AGO All Hours event and saw so many cool exhibitions
  • I had a sleepover with my friends and we laughed rewatching Twilight
  • I dressed up as Elliott from E.T. for Halloween
  • And I got invited to see an early screening of Doctor Sleep

What was your favourite moment from this month? Please let me know! I’d love to hear about it!

Now here’s what I read in October:

“When I said they’re my friends, I meant that. Every so often I get a vision, and I know it’s my friends up there, letting me know I’m not alone.”
