“The clinic, the doctors, the nurses were all exactly the same, but nevertheless the colors seemed brighter, the people warmer, the shadows softer. There was no flicker of nerves dancing in my stomach, no shallow, tight breaths. And I knew why. She was sitting beside me, so close our shoulders almost touched, waiting with me for my number to be called.”

Wrap Up

July 2019 Wrap Up

Another month down! We’re well into summer and I’m happy to say that I’ve finally been able to wear my summer clothes.

July was another great month for me and not just for reading. I got to see 5 fantastic shows at the Toronto Fringe Festival; I took the leap and chopped my hair off; I got to create a custom lipstick at Bite Lip Lab; and my parents came to visit me!

Here’s what I read in July:

Wrap Up

June 2019 Wrap Up

We’re halfway through the year! Isn’t that wild?

June was another great month. The Raptors won the NBA championships and I’ve never seen Toronto vibrate with that kind of energy; I attended my first wedding in my friend group; I met Fredrik Backman and he signed my copy of Beartown; and I got approved for some ARCs that I never thought I’d get!

As for reading? It definitely wasn’t my most successful month, but I was lucky enough to read some fantastic ARCs!

Here’s what I read in June:
