June 2019 Wrap Up

We’re halfway through the year! Isn’t that wild?

June was another great month. The Raptors won the NBA championships and I’ve never seen Toronto vibrate with that kind of energy; I attended my first wedding in my friend group; I met Fredrik Backman and he signed my copy of Beartown; and I got approved for some ARCs that I never thought I’d get!

As for reading? It definitely wasn’t my most successful month, but I was lucky enough to read some fantastic ARCs!

Here’s what I read in June:

May 2019 Wrap Up

Hi, internet bookworms!

May was another incredible month. I saw Michelle Obama speak about her novel, Becoming; I received my first physical copy of a book (Machines Like Me by Ian McEwan) by request from a publisher; Lisa See very kindly replied to my email gushing to her about how much I love her books; and I participated in my first readathon!

I had so much fun that I definitely want to try another one in the future. If you’re a huge readathon person, let me know which ones you love to participate in! I’d love to attempt the 24 hour readathon someday.

Here’s what I read in May:

April 2019 Wrap Up

April was a crazy month! I travelled to San Francisco for work and took a week off after to spend time with family. I also went to Chicago for the first time to visit some friends and to explore the Windy City.

It was also the beginning of my blog taking off! I started getting approved for ARCs, which was a huge step for me. I couldn’t believe I got approved for some of this year’s highly anticipated releases.

And I still managed to read quite a bit. I didn’t end up tackling as much of my April TBR as I would’ve liked, but I still read some amazing books and kept up with my reading goals.

I read mostly books my female and POC authors, and I also achieved my goal of reading one non-fiction book.

Here’s what I read in April:

March 2019 Wrap Up

Another month down! Where is 2019 going?

March was a good reading month for me, but it was also a month filled with really fun adventures. I turned 26, I saw Dear Evan Hansen, I met up with old friends I hadn’t seen in nine months, I had a fun girls day with my friends, and I went to San Francisco for work and a vacation!

Now let’s get on with the wrap up where I read 11 books!
